On 15 September 2026, XR5.0 participated in the APMS Conference in Bergamo, Italy, presenting the paper “Motion Prediction in Human-Centric Workspaces: When Anticipation Helps.”
The paper investigates the role of human motion prediction in human–robot shared workspaces, exploring how anticipating workers’ movements can support safer and more effective collaboration. The research considers both anticipatory robot behaviour and XR-based safety feedback, examining how prediction can influence the interaction between workers and robotic systems.
The work highlights that the benefits of motion prediction are context-dependent, pointing towards the importance of adapting anticipatory strategies to the specific needs of human-centric industrial environments.
