XR5.0 is committed to follow and contribute to the activities of the newly established Virtual Worlds Association, which bringstogether different stakeholders in the field of Virtual
Reality and Extended Reality, including standardisation bodies, policymakers, regulators, and
EU projects working in the XR domain.
This new European alliance is dedicated to shaping useful, open, and human-centric virtual worlds. Backed by more than 20 organisations across 8 countries, the Virtual Worlds
Association is committed to transforming immersive technologies into real world solutions in industry, healthcare, education, culture, and beyond.
XR5.0, presented by InnovActs, joined in some subgroups, including one focused on standardisation and presented
their work on industrial architectures, done in collaboration with the XR2Industry project.
