The 3rd General Assembly (GA) of the XR5.0 Project took place from July 2 to 4, 2025, in Protaras, Cyprus, hosted by CYENS at the Grecian Park Hotel. This three-day in-person meeting served as a strategic checkpoint to align efforts across all work packages ahead of the project’s upcoming Midterm Review.
The event gathered the project partners from across Europe, creating an environment rich in collaboration, critical reflection, and forward-thinking dialogue. The sessions were structured to simulate the Midterm Review process, with each Work Package (WP) leader presenting progress, challenges, and next steps under realistic timing and conditions.
Detailed presentations from WPs covering technical architecture, human-centric digital twins, AI/XR, operator training, pilot site integration, dissemination, and ethical oversight took place. Pilot leaders also presented updates on XR5.0’s six use cases.
This GA proved to be a milestone in shaping XR5.0’s next phase—highlighting the project’s strong collaboration and readiness to scale its human-centric XR solutions toward real-world impact.
