XR5.0 will present at the IEEE International Symposium on Emerging Metaverse (ISEMV 2026), held 22–24 October 2026 at UCLan Cyprus. The project joins the Horizon Europe – Project Presentations session on Saturday 24 October, alongside GeniVerse, MetaCities and the Sincere Project.
In the talk “XR5.0: Human-Centric XR and AI for Industry 5.0”, Mr. John Soldatos will introduce how XR5.0 combines extended reality (XR) and artificial intelligence to support human-centric manufacturing. Through six industrial pilots, the project explores personalised worker training, AI-assisted product design, remote maintenance, assembly support and troubleshooting, putting workers’ needs at the centre of digital transformation.
The talk will also present BeyondXR, the collaborative cluster that brings together European research and innovation projects working across XR, AI, robotics and immersive technologies. It will cover the cluster’s recent activities and show how cross-project collaboration and knowledge exchange can connect industrial applications with wider advances in education, training and human–technology interaction.
