Pilot 5 Whitepaper: Closing the Loop: Biometric Adaptation and Generative AI for Adaptive XR Training in Industrial Maintenance

The XR5.0 project has released a new whitepaper exploring how biometric adaptation, Human Digital Twins, and generative AI can enhance XR-based training for industrial maintenance.

Focusing on Pilot 5, the publication presents an adaptive XR training system for industrial edge device assembly and repair. Combining Extended Reality (XR), AI-driven content generation, and real-time cognitive state monitoring through wearable sensors, the solution delivers personalised training and remote-guided maintenance support. As one of the industrial validation environments of the XR5.0 initiative, the pilot demonstrates how intelligent and adaptive digital technologies can improve workforce training, increase engagement, and support more effective maintenance processes.
