The XR5.0 project successfully participated in the OPENVERSE workshop, “Digital Twins, XR, Web 4.0 Building Blocks for Virtual Worlds,” held on 10 June 2026. The event brought together leading European stakeholders working on Virtual Worlds technologies, with a focus on Digital Twins, Extended Reality (XR), and Web 4.0 as key building blocks for the next generation of immersive and interconnected digital environments.
As part of the workshop programme, Dr. George Fatouros (INNOV-ACTS) presented the XR5.0 LLM Engine: RAG at the Edge of XR Industrial Work, showcasing how advanced Large Language Model (LLM) technologies can be deployed at the edge to support industrial XR applications.
