On November 5th, a live demo session showcasing Pilot 5 of the XR5.0 project, named “Increased Effectiveness and Safety of Product Assembly and Repair Processes”, was completed, with 10 participants attending this demonstration in Athens, Greece.
In this session, visiting technicians had the opportunity to experience hands-on XR training with Meta Quest headsets, demonstrating personalised Industry 5.0 use cases for assembly and repair.
The session aimed to validate the effectiveness of personalised XR-based training in real industrial environments by demonstrating immersive assembly and repair workflows to technicians using Meta Quest devices as part of the Pilot 5 “Increased Effectiveness and Safety of Product Assembly and Repair Processes” presentation. Additionally, it helped familiarise technicians with immersive XR training workflows. It demonstrated the practical value of the solution for real-time remote guidance and support in edge device assembly and repair tasks.
